Research Focus

Dr. McLoughlin, in collaboration with Dr. Kelley, is studying the relationship between the microbiome of the oral cavity, lung bronchi and colon, and predictors of successful treatment with immunotherapy used in lung cancer treatment. Additionally, research is focused on the evaluation of post-surgery acute pain pathways and viability of narcotic-free colon resection.
