Oberonia japonica is a miniature perennial orchid species found on trunks or rocks in fields and mountains; the stems, 1-4cm in length, grow downwards in bundles. Leaves are two rows opposite the phyllotaxis, fleshy and flat, approximately 1cm in length. Stem tops emerge racemes of 3-8cm in height, with many small 1mm-in-diameter light yellow-brown flowers. Bloom Time: April-June.
