BC-819_PCB.jpg (54352 Byte)From a technical point of view the BC-819 is a typical Toshiba product centered around the T3393 single-chip calculator circuit and a huge discrete DC-DC convertor.

This Toshiba BC-819 introduced in 1976 marks the border between the vacuum fluorescent display (VFD) and liquid crystal display (LCD) technology. While the BC-819 uses the Toshiba T3393 calculator circuit, was the T3394 chip used in the LC-810 - Toshiba's entry into the market of calculators with LC-Displays.
