Mazon Creek Fossil AcanthotelsonThis specimen is of a genus that had a well-sclerotized cuticle, enabling fine preservation with well differentiated segmental rings. The styliform telson is also very distinctive. This fossil is preserved dorsally, giving an exceptional view of creatures legs and antennae.
