Description: Small tree or shrubs, 2 - 8 (- 12) m tall, much branched. Leaves alternate, petiolate, lamina 5 - 9 (- 14) X 1.5 - 3.5 (- 5.5) cm, ovate to narrowly elliptic to lanceolate-elliptic, apex acute or obtuse, base rounded or cuneate, margin entire, at times cuneate-undulate, glabrous. Monoecious. Male flowers; calyx copular, short pubescent, petals white. Female flowers; calyx lobes pale green, oblong, rounded or emarginated at apex, petals similar, smaller than sepals. Capsule c. 13 mm diameter, 10 mm long, finely sericeous, remains of style persistent. Seeds 6 - 7 mm long, oblong, mottled.
