Description: A medium-sized or large tree up to 35 m tall. Leafy branches 1.5 - 4 mm long. Petiole persistently tomentose. Leaf blade 14 - 25 cm long, 4.5 - 10 cm dide, obovate, obovate-elliptical or obovate-lanceolate, obtuse or rounded, rarely truncate at base, usually abruptly long-acuminate, rarely obtuse at apex. Flowers pale yellow, solitary or up to 4 in almost sessile or short-peduncled cymes arising from the axils of mostly fallen leaves or from the old woods.. carpels in fruit up to 30, exocarp bony.
