A rather slender, glabrous perennial with trigonous, smooth, spreading stems 30-75 cm tall, growing from a tuft of light green leaves and a creeping stock.
Ecology UK: (distribution according to flora) damp woods on basic soils in England and Wales, but it is rare and infrequent.
