Synonyms:

Epiphytes. Rhizome 0.4–0.6 cm diam.; rhizome scale leaves not or hardly persistent. Pseudobulbs 0.4–0.9 cm apart, erect, ovoid, 1.5–3.5 by 0.7–1.6 cm, rounded in section, with age wrinkling with longitudinal grooves. Leaf petiole 1.5–3.2 cm long; blade elliptic to obovate, 6.3–18 by 2.2–3 cm, index 2.5–6.0; apex acute to acuminate. Inflorescences 4–6 cm long, solitary to few in a fascicle, 1-flowered; peduncle 0.7–2.2 cm long; scale leaves c. 2, the longest 0.6–9 cm long; floral bracts 0.6–0.7 cm long. Pedicel and ovary 1.6–2.5 cm long; basal node 0.22–0.35 cm above the floral bract attachment. Median sepal free, recurved, elliptic to ovate, 1.15–1.85 by 0.7–0.85 cm, index 1.6–2.4, rather thin; margins entire; apex obtuse to subacute; glabrous; 5–7-nerved. Lateral sepals as the median sepal but slightly oblique, (ovate-)triangular, 1.15–1.8 by 0.72–0.91 cm, index 1.5–2.0. Petals close to their base as well as along the upper margin free or adnate to the column, porrect, ligulate, slightly widened towards the base, 0.65–0.8 by 0.1–0.12 cm, index 5.4–8.0, rather thin; margins entire, glabrous or minutely papillose towards the apex; surface glabrous or on upper side slightly and minutely papillose towards the apex; apex acute; 1-nerved. Lip about halfway slightly recurved, c. ovate in outline, 0.95–.05 by 0.42–0.62 cm, index 1.5–2.3 (without spreading) , thick; margins entire, ciliolate but glabrous towards the base; surface glabrous or shortly and minutely hirsute except near the base; above concave near the base, with 2 low, obtuse ridges which emerge at 1/4th–1/3rd along the length of the lip, close to the margins or well away from these, and run c. parallel, while leaving a furrow in between, up to c. 2/3 along the length of the lip; apical part of the lip somewhat convex, upper surface slightly to distinctly rugose-verrucose; below with a median ridge with a deep, narrow furrow from the base to the apex; apex rounded. Column including stelidia 0.4–0.45 cm long; column foot slightly widened at the apex, with minute lateral wings; stigma semi-elliptic; stelidia porrect, deltoid, 0.05–0.1 cm long, with rounded to minutely acuminate apex, upper margin slightly erose, lower margin with a distinct, patent, deltoid, obtuse to acute wing with a slightly erose front margin; anther on underside with a wide ridge, front drawn-out into a thick, slightly concave, rounded beak, its surface minutely papillose; pollinia 4, the inner pair slightly shorter than the outer.
