Common Name The Robust Cirrhopetalum

Flower Size to 2" [to 5 cm]

Found in New Guinea in rainforests on tree trunks at elevations of 100 to 600 meters as a very large, single leafed epiphyte that has an erect to arching, 9"+ [23 cm] long, slender, bracteate inflorescence which has an apical umbell of many [8 to 9] long-lasting flowers that are held below the leaves occcuring in the fall. This species requires a heavy pot to contain the large and robust plant and should be given hot temperatures, partial shade and high humidity as well as regular waterings.
