A medium sized, cool to cold growing epiphytic species found in Java, Sumatra and Bali at elevations of 1400 to 2100 meters with clustered pseudobulbs carrying 5 to 7 leaves that blooms in the winter on often more than one, terminal, erect, horizontal or pendulous, densely many flowered, racemose inflorescence
