Common Name The Clawed Pleurothallis [refers to the prominent callous at the apex of the lip]

Found on Socorro Island in the Revillagigendo Archipelago to the west of Mexico in the Pacific on tree trunks on the eastern slope at elevations of 800 to 1000 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm to cool growing, shortly repent epiphyte with straight to slightly arcuate, terete, slightly dilated towards the apex ramicauls enveloped by 2, tubular, obtuse, scarious sheaths and carrying a single, apical, deflexed in respect to the stem, green above, purple beneath, elliptic to lanceolate-elliptic, acute-acuminate, tridenticulate apically, slightly canaliculate below into the sessile base leaf that blooms in the summer through later spring on 1 to 4, shorter than the leaf, terete, almost simultaneous, 3 to 6 flowered inflorescence with minute, obliquely funnel-shaped, obtuse, shortly apiculate, floral bracts.
