Schisandra propinqua sinensis

A vigorous hardy evergreen twiner, with small yellow flowers at intervals all season, if both male and female plants are grown the sealing wax red chains of fruits in autumn are also very showy.

Introduced from the central and western china in 1907, there are several well grown examples on the walls at Spetchley in Worcestershire, seen below
