Descripción botánica

The commercial lengths are reported to vary from 8 to 19 m, with a diameter of 60 cm in the average. The logs are straight and cylindrical, with buttresses up to 4 m tall.

Distribución natural

B. huberi is found in the Brazilian Amazonia, it is reported in the Tapajos National Forest in the Para state.

Paratracheal axial parenchyma scanty and/or vasicentric. Axial parenchyma aliform. Axial parenchyma confluent. Prismatic crystals in non-chambered axial parenchyma cells. Styloids and/or Rays more than 10 per mm (abundant). Rays exclusively uniseriate. Crystal sand in ray cells. Prismatic crystals in the ray cells. Prismatic crystals in the ray cells.
