Hepatica, sharp lobed (Anemone acutiloba)

$6.00

A cheery precursor of spring, hepatica blooms in woodlands in March. Delicate violet, pink, purple or white flowers emerge on a downy stalk as late winter turns to spring. Sharp lobed leaves remain all year, with the previous year’s leaves protecting the flower buds and new leaves that emerge after flowering. A delicate plant, it may not return if soil and light conditions do not suit it.
