Lotus creticus L., it is a perennial plant up to 10-40 cm, hairy, silvery white, lying or ascending, with woody stem. Leaflets oblong in corner, stipules ovate-lanceolate, much longer than the petiole. Yellow flowers, not greening, 2-6 on peduncles 3-4 times longer than the leaf. Calyx with 2 lips, with keeled teeth at the top, unequal, the 2 lateral ones of the lower lip much shorter and obtuse, orbicular standard, keel strongly curved and long-billed, often stained purple at the top. Pods 20-40 mm, fairly wide, cylindrical, not dented.   Life Form: Ch,   Flowering in: Mar-Oct,   Vern:————,   Phytochoria: MED, The native range of this species is Canary Islands, Medit.   Notes: Wild in Libya, in sandy and stony ground.
