Medicago turbinata (L.) All., it is an annual herb, 20-40 cm, prostrate, hairy or pubescent. Leaflets obovate or oblong-lanceolate, denticulate, stipules toothed. Yellow flowers, small, 2-8 on ridged peduncles roughly equal to the leaf; pedicels equal to the tube of the calyx, wings shorter than the hull. Pods glabrous, ovoid-sub cylindrical, flat at the base, rounded at the top, with 4-6 tight whorls, with thickened honeycomb edges, provided with broadly conical tubercles at the base or with short, enlarged spines. Seeds strongly arched.   Life Form: Th,   Flowering in: Mar-May,   Vern:———-,   Phytochoria: MED, The native range of this species is Medit. to Iraq.   Notes: Wild in Libya.
