Summary[edit]
DescriptionCortinarius armillatus (15125498469).jpg |
I decided to post a batch of Cortinarius species that we collected in just one day around the Mukhrino field station. I'm not sure about the id of many of them because I'm not really well-acquainted with this genus. I'll appreciate any help (while measuring spores and struggling through keys...) Cortinarius armillatus is one of the easily recognizable large webcaps. It's said to be mycorrhizal with birch, yet I've never found it near Novosibirsk (where forests are almost pure birch), yet it's abundant in the northern taiga in Yugra. The overall rusty colour and wide reddish belts on the stem are very distinctive. |
