Description
English: Eucalyptus crebra, the narrow-leaved ironbark, is a small to large tree occurring mostly on the drier sites in 7th Brigade Park. It is common and conspicuous. During the cooler months it flowers prolifically and is a major source of nectar and pollen for birds, mammals and insects. The tree is highly resistant to bushfire but is susceptible to termite infestation. Arboreal termite nests provide nesting sites for birds such as kingfishers and mammals such a possums, further enhancing E. crebra's reputation as a valuable habitat tree.
