Summary[edit]
DescriptionEucalyptus viridis.jpg |
Green Mallee, Eucalyptus viridisin the Whipstick National Park, Central Victoria. The name Whipstick apparently derives from the fact that they were considered ideal for switches by the early bullock drivers. Mallee trees are a dwarf multi-stemmed eucalypt which grow a number of trunks arising from the lignotuber in the ground rather than as a single-stemmed plant, it will grow to a height of about ten meters. Green Mallee, Eucalyptus viridisin is cultivated for the production of eucalyptus oil. |
