Pseudombrophila/Peziza ripensis (E.C. Hansen) Brumm. Image location: Crystal Mountain Ski Resort, Washington, USA [PNW Key Council Foray] Growing on bear dung in Sand Flats horse camp. Cups up to 15 mm. Asci about 200 × 13. Spores 14-15 × 9-9.5, possibly immature. Paraphyses 2.5-3 microns wide, not enlarged at tips, sometimes forked, and with prominent “ringed” septa. No reactions in Melzer’s. Online article by Miguel A. Ribes (http://www.micobotanicajaen.com/...) shows a very similar looking fungus identified as P. ripensis. Recognized by sight
