Coral Aloe grows in large rosettes of broad, blue-green leaves lined with a thin band of coral along their smooth margins. Foliage takes on different hues depending on the season, light conditions, and your garden’s microclimate. In hot, sunny conditions, foliage takes on vibrant pink and purple tones. In cooler, shadier conditions, foliage ranges from blue to lime green. Multiple stems hold large umbels of drooping, dark orange flowers 2 feet above the foliage in late winter and spring. Coral Aloe grows as a single rosette but over time may form a clump with multiple offsets. Water occasionally over summer to keep foliage from wrinkling. Prefers full sun to light shade. Very attractive to hummingbirds when in bloom. Can scorch in intense heat.
