Lespedeza Thunbergii

Lespedeza Thunbergii, commonly known as Thunberg Bush Clover is a bushy, deciduous shrub which has long narrow, arching foliage of mid green colour. In the months of August through to October the Lespedeza Thunbergii blooms lovely long rose/purple coloured flower racemes which create a lovely colour across the plant. A good all round garden plant that can be planted in a variety of locations and schemes, known to look brilliant in a wall sided border where it can brighten up this typically dull area of the garden.

Lespedeza Thunbergii care

Plant the Lespedeza Thunbergii in a sunny, well light area which has well drained soils where it will thrive. Easy to grow, suitable for both beginner and expert gardeners alike this Lespedeza makes a good choice for the garden, generally disease and pest free also. Prune annually in spring time by cutting back the flowering stems to one or two buds, whilst pruning, remove any dead or damaged branches to further encourage a healthy bushy growth in the upcoming seasons.
