We found this little ground orchid on one of our recent weeding days. I think this identification is correct but won’t know for sure till it flowers in Spring. It is growing in leaf litter in an area that has been sprayed twice with glyphosate. However it is deciduous so this may be what saved it from the herbicide. It bears several small white flowers on a short stem. The flowers are self- pollinating. (May 2012)
