Tell Me More...
A delightful and dainty looking flower which is just perfect for pots, rockeries and herbaceous borders. Campanula punctata 'Wedding Bells' blooms from May to August, with white double 'hose in hose' flowers which gently nod in stacked pairs. Blooms are flushed and dotted in pretty shades of pink (punctata means freckled or spotted). We recommend pruning stems back after flowering to promote continual blooms.Campanula punctata 'Wedding Bells' is a low-growing and spreading variety. Foliage is useful for suppressing weeds in the garden border and will naturalise well in the right conditions. Campanula punctata is native to Siberia, China and Japan and grows well throughout the UK, making an excellent cut flower too.Prefers a position in moist, well-drained soil which benefits from full sun or partial shade. Likes any aspect other than north-facing and dislikes acidic soil. A fully hardy, herbaceous perennial which holds its foliage from March to October and requires no winter protection. Grows to reach a height and spread of 50-60cm.
