  • Holding the plant by the roots, use your fingers to lightly rake them apart. Gently push soil around the roots to fill in the empty space around the root ball.
  • Using your foot or a trowel, tamp down the soil around the plant to make it firm.
  • Fill in the planting hole with soil one inch higher than the root ball, or even with the surrounding soil. Water daily for a couple of weeks to get them started.
  • Zephyranthes candida is a succulent plant that can be grown in warm climates.
  • The plant prefers partial shade and well-draining soil. It can also handle poor drainage if it’s planted in pots or containers with drainage holes.
  • Zephyranthes candida prefers warm weather but will tolerate cold temperatures if it’s kept indoors during winter months.
