  • Key identification features : A small evergreen tree of Western Ghats. Leaves are compound with short petiole and even pinnate; leaflets in 2 pairs, up to 20cm long and 7 cm broad; stipules are leaf-like with kidney-shaped basal appendages. Inflorescence is a raceme, up to 15cm long. Flowers are attractive with pink sepals and white petals tinged pink. Fruit is a leathery pod.
