Notes

Perennial grass 2-100cm tall. Leaves with hairy leaf sheaths at the base.  Ligule a membrane with a fringe of hairs. Leaves 5-25cm long, 2-6mm wide, linear, flat, or edges rolled in, hairless, hairy, or rough, margins rough and sharp, tapering to a fine point. Spikelets greenish or purplish, 2-3mm long. Mature seed groups spreading. Seeds with 0 bristles.
