Begonia grandis is a tuberous, clump forming perennial with a bushy mound of large, 4″ olive green leaves with red undersides. 1″ deep pink flowers bloom in pendant clusters. Hardy
Begonias are best grown in moist, humus-rich soil that does not dry out. Deadhead frequently to prolong bloom. Plants self-propagate with tiny bulblets in the leaf axils. Mulch heavily in the fall.
