Coach Anthony Scott begins his fourth season as a member of the Lincoln University Lions football coaching staff.  In 2018 Scott will serve as the Lions offensive line coach.
 
Joining the Lions staff in 2014, Scott has served as the Lions Offensive Coordinator, Quarterback and Wide Receivers Coach, Offensive Line Coach, Video Coordinator  and most recently was Lincoln’s Associate Head Coach during the 2017 season.   
 
Scott coached First Team All-CIAA running back Stephen Scott as he became the first Lions running back in the team’s modern era to rush for more than 1,000 yards and one year later concluded his career as the Lions all-time leader in rushing yards (2,659).  Stephen Scott also holds all the Lions single season rushing and all-purpose yards records as well as the school’s career records in those same categories.  Coach Scott also coached 2015 Second Team all-CIAA honoree Brandon Burrell and 2016 CIAA All-Rookie Team honoree Jason Epps.  
 
Prior to joining the Lions staff, Scott was the Interim Head Football Coach at NCAA Division III at Alfred State University in Alfred, New York.  He also served as the Offensive Coordinator and Offensive Line Coach.  During his time at Alfred, Scott coached several all-conference athletes, most notably running back Rasheed Williams who was a two-time All-USCAA First Team honoree.
 
Scott spent a year at Augustana College in rock Island, Illinois as the Vikings Offensive Line/Tight Ends coach.  He also served as the team’s Academic Coordinator and was a faculty member in the Health and Physical Education Department at the institution.  Several Augustana players earned conference all-academic honors during Coach Scott’s tenure with one, linebacker Erik Westerberg earning Capital One Academic All-America honors.
 
Prior to Augustana, Scott spent four seasons at St. Augustine’s University in Raleigh, North Carolina as their Offensive Line/tight Ends Coach.  He also served as the team’s Academic Mentor and Video Coordinator.
 
Scott has also coached at Lenoir-Rhyne University (2008, Assistant Offensive Line Coach) and Brevard College (2006-08, Offensive Line/Tight Ends coach).
 
A four-year player at Georgia Southern University, Scott was part of the Eagles offensive line unit as a right tackle and center.  The Eagles won four Southern Conference Championships while Scott was a member of the team and won the NCAA Division I-AA (now division I FCS) National Championship in 1999 and again in 2000.
 
Scott earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Broadcasting from Georgia Southern in 2001 and his Master of Science in Recreation and Sport Science from Ohio University in 2012.

Scott is a member of the American Football Coaches Association and has been active instructor at summer camps including the Hawg Tuff Football Camp, the Sports International Football Camp, and the O-D Football Camp.
