Since the inception of the Maui Jim Maui Invitational in 1984, more than 250 players that have participated in the Tournament have been selected in the NBA Draft, including more than 150 who have been selected in the first round. Five Maui alums have been selected as the No. 1 pick in the draft, including: Kansas' Danny Manning in 1988, Maryland's Joe Smith in 1995, Duke's Elton Brand in 1999, Duke's Zion Williamson in 2019, and Georgia's Anthony Edwards in 2020. Overall, more than 60 programs that have competed in the Tournament have sent players to the professional ranks through the annual draft.
