Botanical Description
Polygonum salicifolium is an herbaceous plant nearly glabrous, erect, semi-decumbens or spreading to 1m in height. The leaves are simple, alternate, sessile or nearly linear-lanceolate, ending in a point, margin smooth, hairlss or nearly hairless. The ochrea ended with long bristles. The inflorescence is a cluster consisting of several slender spike-like branches bearing small flowers scattered pink and white. The fruit is an achene trigonous of 2 mm long.
