TFWA reveals new members of Board and Management Committee

FRANCE. The Tax Free World Association (TFWA) has announced new members of its Board and Management Committee following elections held this week.

Moët Hennessy’s Donatienne de Fontaines-Guillaume is taking on the role of Vice-President Commercial, while Nadia Skouri Garcia-Pelayo from Buying The Sky becomes Vice-President Marketing.

Priscilla Beaulieu from Kaloo, Clayeux, Kokeshi by Millennium Fragrances joins as Vice-President Corporate, and Estée Lauder Companies’ Patrick Bouchard becomes Vice-President Conferences & Research.

Interparfums’ Frédéric Garcia-Pelayo was re-elected to his position as Vice-President Finance.

Erik Juul-Mortensen is not standing for re-election as TFWA President. Candidates for the role are invited to declare interest by close of business 12 November. The new President will be decided on 14 December.

TFWA President Erik Juul-Mortensen expressed his gratitude to the members of the Board and Management Committee who are moving on this year: Gerry Munday, Alessandra Visconti and Philip Geeraert.

“TFWA cannot achieve all that it does for our industry without the leadership of a strong and dedicated Board and Management Committee,” he said. “I would like to offer my personal thanks to all for their hard work and commitment to our industry.”

Commenting on the new team, he said: “Our new Management Committee and Board will bring new expertise and fresh perspectives to our association. I’m certain that the new team will be very well placed to take the association to the next successful chapter in its history.”

As reported, Juul-Mortensen is not standing for re-election as President, and his current mandate ends in December. Candidates for the role are invited to declare interest by close of business 12 November. The new President will be decided on 14 December.

The election of the 40 members of the Management Committee took place this week at the TFWA World Exhibition & Conference. Their election or re-election was approved at an Annual General Meeting held today (4 October).

The new Board and Management Committee will hold their positions for two years from October 2018 to October 2020.
