1965 Olivetti Lettera 32

Here is a very good example of a 1965 Olivetti Lettera 32 typewriter which was manufactured in Italy in 1965.

This typewriter is in very good shape both cosmetically and mechanically. Everything is fully functional on this typewriter (now that I fixed the shift issue), right down to the bell.

The paint is in very good shape with very few scratches or flaws. It does appear to be weather worn which gives it a dry feel. Too much cleaning even with light alcohol can strip the paint off of the body.

The carrying case has some minor wear, with a broken/missing handle. Otherwise in very good condition. Included in it are the original manual, original warranty card and cleaning brush.

This is a very smooth and reliable typewriter. It’s a great little portable workhorse that can handle all of you daily creative writing. Despite its small size, this typewriter can definitely be used heavily. This typewriter is very easy to use

Universal ribbons can be used if the spool hole is large enough to handle the original ribbon spool locking screws. You can re-thread the original spools or order a ribbon specifically designed for Olivetti Portables.

There isn’t a large operating manual for this typewriter. Olivetti included a single card as seen here and available for download in the Manuals section of this site.
