Found in the Chinese Himalayas, the western Himalayas, Assam, India, Nepal, eastern Himalayas, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand and Vietnam in subtropical areas at elevations around 500 to 1600 meters as a medium sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte or lithophyte with a curved stem carrying strap-shaped, blunt, often entire to slightly notched with a mucro leaves that blooms in the fall on axillary, to 1.6” [4 cm] long, racemose, several flowered inflorescence with the flowers held in a corym.
