Pyrethrum has become the major chemical used in ‘natural’ insecticides. The growing plant can even provide some insecticidal relief to nearby plants in the garden. The Pyrethrum plant is a small perennial growing to 1-2ft. Closely related to the Chrysanthemum.
Sow seeds into potting compost barely covering seeds. Transplant after danger of frost. Germinates between 70-75F (20-25C). Germination is slow for 14-30 days. Keep moist until established.
