Lifeform: Perennial; Hemicryptophyte according to the Raunkiær system.

Distribution: Native to South Central Europe, Mediterranean to Afghanistan according to the distribution information provided by the Plants of the World Online portal.

Habitat: Open habitats – grassland, bushland, rocky terrains.

Flowering period: Late spring- summer (MAY, JUN, JUL).
