There’s a surprise Johnny Knoxville cameo in “Polar.”
In fact, it’s so surprising that even one of the movie’s stars was caught off-guard.
Actor Mads Mikkelsen said during an AOL Build panel that he only saw the scene after the film — out Jan. 25 on Netflix — had been edited.
“It took me five minutes before I realized, ‘Hey, that’s Johnny Knoxville.’ I thought maybe it was kind of a hit guy just hired for rent. But he’s amazing in it.”
The film is about a retired assassin. Director Jonas Akerlund has done videos for Beyoncé and Madonna, and worked with Knoxville on a 2012 film, “Small Apartments.”
