Allison Janney seemed to forget that she appeared in “10 Things I Hate About You” (1999), which starred Julia Stiles and the late Heath Ledger. Janney, 60, made the startling comment on Instagram after a fan paid tribute to one of her character’s iconic lines in the film: “I’ve got deviants to see and a novel to finish.”
“I don’t understand! What is this????? What am I in that I forget I was in?” she responded.
Janney played high school guidance counselor Ms. Perky, who was secretly penning an erotic novel in her free time.
The Oscar-winning actress is hardly the first star to forget a role from her past. Paltrow, 47, forgot numerous times that she appeared in “Spider-Man: Homecoming.”
“Remember, we were in ‘Spider-Man’?” asked co-star Jon Favreau during an episode of his series, “The Chef Show.”
“We weren’t in ‘Spider-Man,'” replied Paltrow.
“No, I was in ‘Avengers,'” said Paltrow. “You were in ‘Spider-Man,’ also,” said Favreau.
