This photomicrograph revealed some of the ultrastructural morphology exhibited by the fungal organism, Candida glabrata, formerly known as Torulopsis glabrata. C. glabrata is a common yeast species found on the body surface, and is implicated as a superficial and systemic infections, especially in immunocompromised patients.
