Ryan Heath orchestrated a pair of wins for Irondequoit. Nick Leonard reestablished himself an interior threat for Victor. Michael Sardou averaged a double-double in two Churchville-Chili wins, and Cordell Young paced Eastridge to two victories. The four student-athletes earned Player of the Week (December 5th-11th) for their respective divisions as announced by Monroe County coaches.

Heath handed out nine assists to go with eight points, eight rebounds and a steal in win over Greece Olympia to start the week. The senior guard followed that with a 12-dime, 17-point effort against Brockport. Heath also had four rebounds and a steal in the triumph over the Blue Devils. Heath was named Monroe County Division III Player of the Week (POTW).
Leonard posted a double-double in Victor’s lone game of the week, a win over Fairport and nabbed Division I POTW. The 6-foot-4 junior forward scored 12 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. He converted on 4-of-7 attempts from the floor. Leonard also had two assists without a turnover.
Sardou started the week with 18 points and and six rebounds in a win over Hilton. The junior guard followed that with 16 points, 15 rebounds and three assists in a victory over Gates. Sardou connected on 54 percent of his shots from the floor for the week to earn DIII POTW
Young poured in 25 points in Eastridge’s win over Greece Arcadia and followed with 18 points in a triumph over Honeoye Falls-Lima to earn Monroe County Division IV POTW. Young is shooting 47. 4 percent from the floor including 56.1 percent inside the 3-point arc.
