The protagonist of Soul Hackers. He is a member of the hacker group known as the Spookies. As with every SMT main, he is a silent protagonist from start to finish. In terms of battles, he is a pure physical fighter. He does not learn any magic, but can equip the largest variety of items and excels at using weapons. As far as stats go, he gets a lot of HP and has higher physical attack/defense then Nemissa the heroine of the game. His alias is based on what nickname the player gives him.

Hitomi is the heroine of Soul Hackers. She is the best friend of the protagonist. Similar to the protagonist, she is also a member of the Spookies. Hitomi is living her life typically until a event happens and she becomes a part of the Nemissa program. Hitomi lives by herself while her father works in America. She is good friends with the protagonist’s family and is often invited over to eat dinner at the protagonist’s house.

AGE: ???

Nemissa is a program. She is absorbed into Hitomi. Hitomi then switches back and forth between herself and Nemissa. Nemissa also has the ability to use magic. Battle wise, Nemissa is a magic based character. She is a little lacking in physical stats, but she gets a lot of magic spells and is very magically powerful.

NAME: Masahiro Sakurai

ALIAS: Spooky

AGE: 25

The leader of the Spookies. He is often referred to as leader or by his alias ‘Spooky’. Masahiro Sakurai is his real name though and as expected he is the oldest of the group. Due to him being a heavy smoker, he looks much older then he actually is. As the leader of the Spookies, he is a wise person and often well spoken. He always has a plan and is ready to take on whatever task is expected of the group.

NAME: Shingo Sako

ALIAS: Six

AGE: 17

Shingo Sako or as he’s known by his alias; Six is the youngest member of the group. He is 17 and a fanatic of guns. His alias “Six” is derived from the term “six shooter”.Although he appears calm, he carries deep emotional scars from traumatic events that happened in his past.

NAME: Junnosuke Kitagawa

ALIAS: Lunch

AGE: 19

Lunch is another member of the Spookies. He specializes in working with hardware and is generally friendly with everyone. However, he rarely talks about himself or his family. Although, his name is lunch it is not a reference to food. It is supposed to be a reference to a application such as a launcher. As in someone who launches(starts) up programs and/or applications on a computer.

NAME: Yuichi Haga

ALIAS: N/A

AGE: 18

The only member of the group without a codename. Probably the most energetic of the group, Yuichi came from a wealthy family and didn’t face many hardships in his life. In doing so, he came to grow a childlike nature. His lack of a nickname leads to him often bragging about how he has the coolest name of the group. Six treats him like he is a young child because of his immature behavior even despite Yuichi being a year older then him.
