Flower of the season

SS23

THE FLOWER SEASON IS HERE. AND THE DESIRE TO INTEGRATE THE BOTANICAL SPECIES THAT NATURE GIVES US IN ALL ASPECTS OF EVERYDAY LIFE IS INCREASING, FROM CLOTHING TO THE DECORATION OF YOUR SPACES. THIS SEASON, MASSIMO DUTTI PROPOSES PROTEA AS A DECORATIVE ELEMENT TO ADD A TOUCH OF COLOUR AND MAKE ALL AROUND BREATHE SPRING.

It’s time to decorate with flowers. That’s the thing about spring, which invites us to surround ourselves with flowers such as roses, peonies or protea; the floral species that is all the rage. This genus, which originated in South Africa, owes its name to the Greek god Proteus, who could change shape whenever he wished. Hence the protea symbolises diversity and value because of the multitude of variations in colour and shape it can take on. The most common colours of this plant are pink, orange and red.

The protea is a symbol of beauty and aesthetic harmony and belongs to one of the oldest flower families in the world. The best-known variety is the Protea Cynaroides (also called King Protea) or the smaller Pink Ice. Both usually have different shades and variations of pink.
