The 40 years old James Anderson ageing like a old wine as he back on top of the latest ICC Test Rankings.

Anderson became the oldest bowler in 87 years to top the Test rankings. The previous oldest player to top the ICC Test rankings was Australian leg spinner Clarrie Grimmett in 1936.

At 40 years and 207 days Anderson dethroned Australian skipper Pat Cummins's 4-year stint as the No.1 bowler in the Test.

Anderson has been already entitled to legendary status as he is the leading wicket-taker by a fast bowler in Test matches. Anderson's wicket tally is still growing as he scalped 682 wickets till now and is 18 away to reach a landmark of 700 wickets.

Anderson also holds the record of the quickest and only fast bowler to take 600 wickets in Test cricket.

Sri Lankan spin legend Muttiah Muralitharan (800 wickets) and Aussie legend Shane Warne (708 wickets) are ahead of Anderson.
