Wright's Goldenrod

Solidago wrightii var. wrightii is highly variable in the number of glands and hairs present on infloresence parts and phyllaries.  Historically, the more glandular, less hairy plants were treated as var. adenophora Blake, but there is a continuum of variation in these traits and it is arbitrary where to set the line to separate the continuum into two taxonomically recognized races.  I think it is best to simply acknowledge the variation within a variable var. wrightii.
