Star Wars: 20 Things You Didn't Know About Return Of The Jedi

Director Richard Marquand simply couldn't resist giving himself a cameo in the film - and let's be totally honest, who could blame him? - appearing for a few seconds in the film's Battle of Endor as an AT-ST pilot, Major Marquand (or, as he was renamed in the new canon, Newland).

Marquand and his co-pilot, played by the film's co-producer Robert Watts, aren't long for this world however, as Chewbacca (Peter Mayhew) soon enough wipes them out.

Marquand's easily missed considering that only the most ardent Star Wars fans could even pick him out of a lineup, but it's a pretty fun cameo once you know.
