Aquaman: Battle For Atlantis was released in 2003 for the Xbox and GameCube, so it wasn't a game based on the live-action movie or anything like that. Instead, it was another poorly-made title developed off of a popular DC character. This version centered around Peter David's interpretation of Aquaman.

The game revolves around the need to save Atlantis from destruction, and the story is told through cutscenes that use static images and text. It's designed to look more like a comic book, but it wasn't done well, so the cutscenes aren't as exciting as cinematics would have been.

You know how people tend to hate water levels in games, and just saying "water level" around gamers tends to incite rage? This entire game is a water level, but not because it takes place in the ocean. It's a water level because it just sucks. The backdrop is dark, murky, and boring, and it's mostly empty.

While swimming around in the ocean, you will run into invisible walls, blocking your progress. Could they have coded walls of kelp or coral to block the player? Sure! Unfortunately, the devs didn't go that route, and the result is one of the most boring superhero games ever made.
