Godzilla

The once mythical beast known lovingly to many as "ゴジラ" is considered by some to be merely a fairy tale. This page was created and dedicated to that lizard of all monsters and to assure all that not only does he exist but also that he functions as a brilliant scientist in our laboratory.

Godzilla first rose from the ocean and laid siege to Tokyo in 1954 after he was created by Tomoyuki Tanaka (producer of all of Godzilla's screen exploits) along with special effects creator Eiji Tsuburaya and director Ishiro Honda.

Even at an early age, he had a passion and unequaled drive to succeed in all that he did. He excelled at destroying cities as few others have. However, his unbridled passion often lead to confrontations with other monsters and he quickly tired of setting things on fire.

Eventually, his internal drive lead Godzilla to the sciences. His once unquenchable appetite for wanton destruction was replaced by the unrelenting desire to learn about mucosal biology.

He has worked day and night and his publications and funding have soared.

His ferocity at the keyboard is matched only by his prowess at the bench and scope.

Aside from an unfortunate "freezer entrapment" incident, his lab record is untouched.

This legendary beast/friend/confidant is indeed alive and, more importantly, he is a scientist. We don't know exactly where he comes from or where he's going, but rest assured that we pretty much stay out of his way (because of the whole fire thing).
