Commendations have continued to trail the plan by the Anambra State government to build an old people’s home in the State next year.

 

Speaking on ABS Radio and Television Programme, Tonimas half hour in Awka, the co-ordinator of Soludo Support Group in Anambra Central Senatorial District Chief Obi-Ochije Muodilim who described the plan as a positive step which he noted will go a long way in improving the living standards of the aged across the State.

 

Chief Ochije Muodilim who said that the plan by the Anambra State government to build a home for the old people and aged is a replica of what is seen in Western Countries and called on Ndi Anambra to continue with their support and prayers to Governor Chukwuma Soludo who he said is committed to transforming Anambra State.

 

Chief Ochije Muodilim who is a member of the prestigious Ozo Awka society, said the plan by the government to also put in place a five Star Hotel in Awka as contained in the 2024 budget is a clear indication that Governor Soludo is determined to change the landscape of Awka into a befitting capital city.

 

He extolled the government for the massive road construction and reconstruction going on in various areas within Awka metropolis and the ongoing construction of a new Government House and Lodge in Awka, among other plans he has for the city, describing Professor Soludo as a Governor who has the interest of the people at heart.

 

On the State government 2024 budget estimate of over four hundred- and ten-billion-naira Chief Ochije Muodilim who said that the budget is well structured for enhanced development of the State called on the people of Anambra State to be alive to their civic responsibilities especially in the area of prompt payment of tax and government approved levies and safeguarding government facilities in their various areas against vandalization.
