Biography

David Renwick is the Head of Investment Banking Division: Absa which includes the following areas of responsibility: Africa Leverage Finance, Debt Capital Markets, Loan Capital Markets, Resource and Project Finance, Equity Capital Markets, Equity linked and Financial Solutions Group. His previous appointment was at Standard Bank where he was Head of Diversified Lending and Leverage. Prior responsibilities covered a number of investment banking product areas including Leverage and Acquisition Finance activities, Structured Trade and Commodity Finance and developing Standard Bank’s mezzanine finance portfolio. Prior to joining Standard Bank, he spent seven years at Investec Bank focusing on Leveraged Mezzanine Finance in SA and the UK.
He holds a B.Com Hons (Finance) from the University of the Witwatersrand.
