Kenyan suckering, shrubby aloe with thick, strong, recurved, smooth deep green (to red) leaves with large, sharp pinkish to red marginal teeth. It is a pretty hardy and easy to grow plant, but a pretty sharp one, so handle with care. Makes a nice crop of scarlet flowers in spring. Rosettes about 1' up to nearly 2' in diameter. Plants anywhere from ground hugging (8" tall) to shrubs of nearly 4' in height. Pretty cold hardy at least down to 26F. Not seen one badly damaged any winter in Los Angeles so far.
